Our History

7SportsPro is a family-owned company born out of a deep love for sports and a desire to honor a legacy that has shaped our family and community. Our name and brand are inspired by the number 7, a meaningful tribute to our grandfather, Juan José “CHIGUA” Rivera, a legendary baseball player from Puerto Rico.

For over two decades, "CHIGUA" left his mark on the game, earning numerous accolades and the admiration of many for his talent, passion, and dedication. At age 38, he became the first player in his hometown to record his 500th hit—a milestone that solidified his place in local sports history.

Known affectionately as “The Gentleman of the Center Field” for his impressive plays in the outfield, CHIGUA retired in 1983. Forty years later, in 2023, the number 7 he proudly wore was officially retired by the team he represented for so many years—an enduring tribute to his legacy.

7SportsPro was born from that legacy. Every uniform we create carries the number 7 as a symbol of pride, unity, and the enduring spirit of our family's journey in sports.
